Recording of works by Hindemith done!
His Kvartet, Duo for violin and Clarinet, Solo sonata for Cello and Trauermusik for Cello and Piano is now on its way to be printed!
After two concerts at Rudersdal Sommerkoncerter, Copenhagen, we are now preparing the recording our next CD with music by Paul Hindemith. Recording session starts in the beginning of September.

Dear everyone, our tour to USA/New York in November 2010 was fantastic! We had a wonderful concert in Carnegie Hall, which will stand as a great memory for us all! The first performance of Andrew Waggoner’s “One Kindness” for quartet went well, and we look forward to perform it many times! In december we recorde the piece and it will be published in the USA before end of this year.
We’re heading NYC!
Together with the NYC based ensemble, Poetica Musica, Ensemble Nordlys is planning a tour in November to US.
4th f Nov. We will have our debut in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, followed by a concert at Old Westbury Gardens at the 6th and at Syracuse University the 7th of nov.

For the third time Christine has been invited to join the jury of the prestigious International Competition for Contemporary Chamber Music in
Kraków. She will work together with professors from Royal Academy in London, Mozarteum in Salzburg and University of Chicago.

After two intense weeks with our own chamber music festival at “Rudersdal Sommerkoncerter” north of Copenhagen, we feel very proud and satysfied that we had such a succes with the weather, the music and the audience! We will make another festival nex year!

Ensemble Nordlys has been given several grants to realize the recording of Olivier Messiaen's "Quatuor pour la fin du temps". We will also continue our popular concert series at Glyptoteket in 2009. Dates are to be released. The second of our concerts celebrating the Danish composer, Bent Sørensens, 50th anniversary this year was held in Glyptoteket. Thank you for the inspiring collaboration Bent!

After a great week in Syra where we played a concert in Damascus and gave masterclass at the National Institute of Music we are back to Europe for reherseals.

Now were on track again! We are looking forward for a very interesting season with several concerts in “Østerbro Concertforening”, Copenhagen. In October were heading Damascus where we will give two concerts and masterclasses.

After a fantastic week at the festival ”Time of Music” in Viitasaari in Finland we now returned to Copenhagen for a needed summervacation.

Next concert in Glyptoteket (Sunday the 15th of June at 1.30 pm) will be the first of two concerts celebrating composer Bent Sørensen’s 50th birthday. Mr. Sørensen has chosen the programs. We look forward to working on the interpretations with him!

At the Ensemble Nordlys’ concert in the Reformert Church in Copenhagen, the 17th of May, Viktor made the Scandinavian first performance of the Danish composer, Gunnar Berg’s, piece ” Pour clarinette seule 1/2 Quatre aspects et trois mouvements” The piece was composed in 1957.

Ensemble Nordlys has been choosen to participate in the Wundergrund festival in Copenhagen in late October this year! We look forward for new inspiring meetings with musicians from different musical fields!

The first week of October we leave Copenhagen for Damascus, Syria. Concerts and teaching at the music conservatory are planned.

This year our annual concert series of six concerts in Glyptoteket, Copenhagen, will again be arranged in co-operation with the Danish National Radio. The programmes contain classical as well as contemporary music. Two concerts will focus on the Danish composer Bent Sørensen who is celebrating his 50th birthday this year and we play his compositions as well as his classical favourites...

Ensemble Nordlys has been invited to participate in the contemporary music festival ”Time of Music” in Viitasaari in Finland from the 4th to the 7th of July. We will perform three concerts with different programmes.
Finally! After having performed Olivier Messiaens masterpiece ”Quatuor pour la fin de temps” numerous times over the last ten years, we feel ready to record it! The recording session will take place in the spring 2009.
In 2009 it is the centenary of the birth of the Danish composer, Gunnar Berg, one of Olivier Messiaens students. We hope in association with the Gunnar Berg society to arrange interesting concerts for the upcoming season.
